Our Management Team

Cofton Village Hall is run under a facilities management agreement by Chatterley LTD awarded by the Trustees in 2020. The contract includes bookings, maintenance and cleaning of the facility and grounds.

Sam Chatterley – Hall & Facilities Manager

I’ve lived on the East Works development since 2014 with my wife and children and see the importance of a Village Hall in bringing the community together. I worked for Cadbury/Kraft/Mondelez for over 20 years in various management and project roles before taking redundancy and starting my own small company. When the opportunity arose to run the Village Hall I couldn’t wait to get involved having previously supported the trustees with some admin tasks when the hall first opened.
My previous experience in this area comes from chairing Bournville Works Housing Society and overseeing the most significant transformation in its 100 year history by moving it from a Society to a Charitable Trust.

Keith Duncan

I have lived in Cofton Hackett for over 50 years. I spent my working life in the Motor Industry, at Austin Motor Company in Longbridge and the last 25 years at Jaguar Cars in Coventry as a Vehicle Engineering Manager, retiring in 2003.
I served on Cofton Hackett Parish Council for many years, starting in the early 1970s, and as Chairman in the 1980s. For the last 12 years I was chairman of the Parish Council Planning Committee before stepping down in 2019. My role on the board of Trustees for Cofton Village Hall is for historic reference for the site along with associated local aspects, having initially carried out early negotiations with the developers.

Kathryn Stanczyszyn

I have lived in Cofton Hackett since 2015, when I moved into the East Works development. I work as a journalist and am involved in several local charities, particularly those that help young people. I am delighted to be involved in this excellent new project for my community.

John Slack

I was born and raised in Nottingham and worked in Medical Schools in London and Birmingham before leaving academic life to work for different companies in the pharmaceutical industry. I co-founded a consultancy company serving the pharmaceutical industry and remain employed on a part time basis. I have lived in Cofton Hackett since 2001 and became a member of Cofton Hackett Parish Council in 2017. I am currently the Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee of the parish council. I joined the Trustees of Cofton Village Hall CIO and was elected Treasurer in July 2018. Leisure time is taken up with walking and gardening and we enjoy combining foreign travel and hiking.

Michael Pattison

I moved onto the Cofton Fields Estate in 2016 with my wife shortly after my retirement from teaching. My career included managing an education centre and providing counselling for young people, and I still work as an examiner. I was a governor of a Birmingham primary school for 10 years and I now work as a ward volunteer at the QE hospital. I play guitar in Foundry band, am a Parish Councillor, and am involved in wider community events and supporting local charities. My leisure time mostly involves sketching, painting and walking.

Roger Westbury

I am currently Chairman of Cofton Hackett Parish Council, having joined the Council in 2012. I have been involved with the new Cofton Village Hall since it’s inception and am now a Trustee looking after communications and marketing. I have lived in Cofton Hackett for 25 years and spent much of my working life as a press officer and PR manager with BT.

Shelagh O’Loughlin

I am a retired headteacher and volunteered to join the Cofton Village Hall Trustees as I have experience of lettings, hall hire, fundraising and organising after school clubs and activities. I have lived in Cofton Hackett for 25 years.

Craig Naughton

I moved onto the East Works development in 2015 with my wife and our two daughters. My professional life has been based around senior procurement and governance roles and I have held voluntary positions in other local organisations. I believe the Village Hall will be a great asset to the local residents and I hope that I can help this vision become a reality.
