Cofton Village Platinum Jubilee Event

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee event in Cofton Hackett went down a storm on the 4th June, fortunately it wasn’t the other way around. Attendance across the afternoon was more than expected, but the team of volunteers and stall holders managed extremely well and the Street Food guys had to call for back-up ingredients. This fantastic event was put together by the Cofton Village Hall Management Committee who are currently down to 3 members. “What they delivered was staggering” said Cofton Village Hall Trustee and former Parish Councillor Keith Duncan. The event was free to attend and many activities were free too, this was thanks to the generous donations from Cofton Hackett Parish Council, Cofton Village Hall Trustees, Cllr Adrian Kriss and St. Modwen.
“We’re so lucky to have this amazing venue on our doorstep and since I took over the reigns at Cofton Village Hall, my focus has been 100% on making it the community hub that the area needed” said Sam Chatterley, Hall Manager.
