The Great Cofton Bake Off

Community spirit was high amongst Cofton Hackett residents last month when a crowd attended our fabulous Bake Off for the new village hall. 37 amazing cakes were entered in total and £400 raised. The standard of the entries was absolutely fantastic, and with five categories to choose from there was plenty to go around! The winning entry in the Showstopper category was a stunning depiction of Cofton Allotments that tasted just as good as it looked. Thanks to the bake off committee Clare Naughton, Julia Christine, Lizzie Yates, judges Kathryn Stanczyszyn and Mollie from Rosie and Buttons cake company, St. Andrews for letting us use the Parish Centre and to the many others who handed out flyers, helped with refreshments, set up the room and tidied away afterwards. The general consensus? Let’s do it all again soon.
